Capture the beautiful and very pink interior of Studio Cotton on Corn Street, Bristol, including relaxed images of the team. These photos would be used for the web design company’s social media and website with some specific images required to help illustrate blogs.
Create an up to date and relevent gallery of images that represents the heart of Studio Cotton. Aime, founder of Studio Cotton, required a new shoot because the interior had changed slightly and team members had changed. This gallery had to provide images that could be used online to show where Studio Cotton are based and be appealing to their audience who may be influenced to purchase tickets to events held in that space.
Images should also show the team members in a relaxed style, nothing too posed or ‘fake’ like you see the internet flooded with! These images would be used for the Studio Cotton about page but also for things such as social media when talking about all things web design.
Aime provided a list of those essential shots she knew she definitely needed for the website, blogs and social media posts which we worked through as a priority. For the team shots, Aime created a brilliant quick-fire posing game whereby the team randomly picked out an activity they had to do and then we captured that moment. This made everyone less nervous in front of the camera and created more natural photographs.
Throughout the shoot, we captured a variety of general interior shots and ad-hoc shots of computers/phones being used that could be utilised in many ways online when talking about website builds.
Most setups or subjects were captured in a portrait and landscape orientation, allowing for more flexible usage – from Pins on Pinterest to website banners.
When editing the shoot, it was important to encourage the ‘pinkness’ of this interiors as well as keeping those browns nice and warm.

There are no cheesy office portraits here, everything is relaxed, natural and appealing to the small biz world, far from what you see from the corporate, lack of personality portraits you often see on LinkedIn!
The images could be utilised in endless ways online, from the Studio Cotton website to all their social media platforms and focused on no particular season or event so can be used throughout the year.
