A candle can be the perfect accompaniment to a quiet and calm moment in someone’s living room on a cold winter’s evening; a diary or planner could be a core part of a small business owners’ daily routine as they sit at their desk with their morning coffee; a necklace might be gifted and worn as a constant reminder of love and friendship.
Your product needs to tell the story of the life the customer could have – styled product photography helps them imagine being in those moments and sell the lifestyle they want.
Whether you’re looking for shoot inspiration, want to check our product photography experience, or just wanna see the amazing independent brands we’ve worked with – here’s a little selection of some of our studio shoots.
The de Lotz studio is based on the edge of north-west Bristol near the River Avon, but we capture professional images for product-based businesses across the UK, from Truro in Cornwall to Isle of Lewis in Scotland.
And it’s easy to do – just package up your products to arrive at the studio a week before your shoot date. Once Georgia has snapped your products and delivered your images, everything will be carefully repackaged and sent back, with a little edible treat, just because.
Whilst you might see some of the lovely dog walks on Georgia’s Insta stories, please don’t make any plans to visit the de Lotz studio.
For now, the studio is kept private but if you’re keen to attend a shoot in person, we will happily arrange a location for the shoot where you can come along too.
Pick from two packages, depending on how specific you are about the outcome of your product photo shoot.
This photography package is perfect if you need lots of product photos and don’t have an exact idea of what you want.
This photography package is ideal if you have a clear idea of how you want your product photos captured.

Georgia has spent the past 8 years working with hundreds of small and medium-sized businesses across the UK, helping them showcase their products and bring their brand to life with stunning visuals. Her goal is to create photos that not only highlight your products but also set the perfect scene and lifestyle, making it easy for you to sell and proudly share what you do.
That’s what gets us excited! It’s what we love doing the most.
You only get one first impression, ensure your photos make it great
The de Lotz photo studio is private for insurance reasons. If you’d like to attend, we are more than happy to arrange an alternative studio shoot location so you can be there throughout.
If you're booking a location shoot, yes you are very welcome to attend and be in the photos if you wish.
By default, you'll be asked to settle your shoot cost split over two payments. The first payment is a 50% deposit to secure your booking and the remaining 50% is due two weeks before your shoot date.
99% of the photos are styled and shot entirely by Georgia. She doesn't sell herself as a 'stylist' but her passion for interiors and decor whilst knowing what works behind the lens = a perfect combo.
This helps keep costs down for you too, eliminating the need for a stylists fee on top of the photographer's fee on your next shoot.
If you've booked a location shoot and want to be involved, you or your team are more than welcome to help with the styling, too. Since you know your products and the look your aiming for, we can combine our expertise and work together to get those epic product shots.
The de Lotz studio is based on the edge of north-west Bristol near the River Avon, but we capture photos for brands all across the UK.
Right now, the studio is private for insurance reasons. If you'd like to be there in person, we're more than happy to arrange an alternative location so you can be there.
After the shoot, we'll carefully pack your products back in the original packaging combined with our fave tape from Tissue and Tape to make it look a little nicer.
During your shoot planning process, you'll complete a form where you can specify your preferred return address, insurance value and courier.
Once you've approved all your images, we'll arrange to have your products sent back to you, along with an edible sweet treat, just because.
Yes! Most photo shoots are captured in the private de Lotz studio in Bristol. No matter where your small business is based in the world, you can book a photo shoot with us, as long as you can safely post your products.
No, you don't have to but it is always very appreciated if you do.
We get that your priority is promoting your products or brand, so adding a credit for the photographer in a social media post, ad campaign, or product listing might not be ideal and could be distracting.
If there is space for a tag or backlink, we'd be incredibly grateful, and any mentions on Insta means we're more likely to see your lovely content featuring de Lotz photography, which we love. But ultimately, the purpose of your photos is to sell your products, and we want that to be the priority.
Just a heads up, photographers have difference policies, so please check your agreement.
Usually, the photographer retains copyright of the photographs but will typically grant clients the rights to use their imagery. The specifics can vary, though, so make sure you look into it.
Typically we photograph up to approx. 25 products, but it really depends.
Before you send 80 products for a shoot with 80 photos - hold your horses! Think about your end-use, and how many photos you want of each product - it's probably more than 1 photo.
Let's say you want at least 2 photos of each product: one in a wider lifestyle setting for marketing and another closer up for a main product picture. You might then also want a group shot of that product with other products from the same collection.
So, that could mean 2-3 shots per product. For an 80 photo shoot, we're talking about photographing roughly 25 products.
No, but you can if you want!
Our prop collection in the de Lotz studio is vast and continually added to. After 7 years of styled shooting, our prop cupboard looks like a hoarder's dream, but it's an excellent starting point when it comes to styling your shoot.
During the planning process for your shoot, we'll chat about styling and make sure we have all the props we need to achieve your desired look and feel of the shoot. If we decide we need something particularly niche that we don't have and can't be used in other shoots, we'll either ask if you have it and can send it, or suggest it as a personal investment that might complement your products perfectly.
If you have any props that fit within our moodboard that you'd love to see included in your photos, feel free to send them along with your products.
